The men were all members of the pool team at the Carpenter's Arms in Newport. A minute's silence is to be observed in pubs in Newport on Sunday as a mark of respect to the dead men. Gwent Police said they are not clear about the cause of the accident although they do not believe the driver of the Volkswagon Polo had been drinking.
