Hear'Say's Noel in missing girl appeal
Noel and Hear'Say
Noel, left, has urged the Hear'Say fan to come home
Hear'Say singer Noel Sullivan has appealed for a young fan who disappeared with a man she met on the internet to return home.

Interpol has been supplied with details of south Wales schoolgirl Kelly Reid, 16, who disappeared after meeting supermarket worker Robert Percy, 20, in an internet chatroom.

Kelly Reid, 16, left her Merthyr Tydfil home seven weeks ago with Percy.

The pair were last seen at a caravan site in Kent but police are concerned they may have now left the country and could be in France.

Interpol has received descriptions of the pair, who first met in a chatroom as fans of the pop group Hear'Say.

Now the group's Cardiff-born singer Noel Sullivan has appealed to Kelly to get in touch with her family, who are concerned for her welfare.

Noel said: "I understand you are going through a tough time but it would be great if you got in touch with your family.

"They are going out of their minds with worry and a telephone call would put them at ease. If you are reading this Kelly, please get in touch."

There is concern over how the couple met
Their daughter disappeared at the same time as Percy left his job in Exeter, Devon.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "We know they later turned up in Folkestone and were staying at a caravan site.

But by the time we found them they had moved on and they could have taken a ferry or the tunnel to France.

"We have notified Interpol as a safety precaution - we have to consider every possibility."

'Very quiet girl'

Police have been able to track the couple from withdrawals made from Percy's bank account.

Kelly, who was due to take her GCSEs this month, left home with just 100 and a rucksack full of clothes in April.

Her worried mum Deborah Reid, 37, said: "I wish Kelly would just pick up the phone and let me know she's all right.

"I can't sleep and I couldn't cry any more if I tried. The most worrying part is not knowing where she is.

"She's a very quiet girl, this has just come so out of the blue. I just want to know she's safe."
