Post office kidnap linked to robberies
The raided sub-post office in Buckley
The robbers may be responsible for other raids
Masked raiders bundled a postmistress into a car at her home in north Wales, drove her to work and forced her to open the safe.

Jennie Williams, 60, was grabbed at her home at Northop, forced into a car, and taken to the sub-post office at Ewloe Place in Buckley.

Several thousand pounds are believed to have been stolen during the raid.

She was so traumatised that she had to be sedated in hospital following the incident on Tuesday night.

Police in Buckley have confirmed that they are linking the crime to three similar incidents in the immediate area.

Detectives who have launched a major investigation have admitted they have been looking at links between the raid and other cases.

'Deeply traumatised'

In one incident was at Bagillt, Saltney Ferry, where the post master was tied up, and another was a failed attempt at a robbery at Mynydd Isa near Mold.

Detective Inspector Andy Hughes from North Wales Police CID has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

He said the latest incident had been "absolutely horrifying" for the victim, who was "deeply traumatised".

Dog barking

Mrs Williams was along in her house and went outside to investigate after her dog started barking.

She was grabbed by a masked man who forced her into a car which contained two other men, who were also masked.

They then drove her to the post office where she was forced to open the safe.

The alarm at the premises was activated but not before the raiders were able to empty the contents of the safe - thought to be several thousand pounds.

The men - who did not use any weapons - are believed to have escaped in a dark Volvo car.

Anyone with information should contact Flintshire CID at Mold police station.
