Sooty had two nights of passion

"We've had e-mail cards and so many Valentines, I haven't bothered to count them, " said park owner Carol Feehan.

"We've had quite a few from New Zealand - Sooty has a big following there at the moment."

Sooty shot to fame last November after servicing 24 sows within hours.

Overnight he became a star on Japanese television, a life-time member of the famous Stringfellows club in London, and got his own website.

But now he is anxiously awaiting another imminent arrival - due to his girlfriend Sweep.

"Actually I think he is getting a bit tired of her - it must be all these Valentine cards," Ms Feehan said.

He already has 24 red roses for his girlfriends at the park, which is run by volunteers mainly for children with disabilities and is now closed for the winter.

But he also has another reason to celebrate the red letter day.

"His very own Grogg is going on sale so he'll join the likes of Tom Jones and Gareth Edwards," explained Carol.

A limited edition of 500 of the pottery figures will be available for Sooty fans.

They will be sold at the Grogg shop in Treforest - best-known for its caricatures of Welsh rugby legends - and the farm park.

Other momentoes are on offer at the park - including Sooty T-shirts and badges.
