Gang warned police are after them

Police in Forfar believe that a violent gang has been reformed and is carrying out assaults in the town.

Officers have said that the Young Mental Shade has re-emerged in the past few weeks.

It features about six members, both sexes are involved, and it has been reported that an initiation ceremony is taking place at the moment.

Police have warned members that they know who they are and they will not tolerate any crime.

Sgt Ian Leiper said: "We would encourage the victims to come forward and to give statements to the police and they can be assured that we will pursue the full weight of the law in support of that."

"The community in Forfar will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.
