Sturgeon conducts health review
Nicola Sturgeon
The health secretary will visit Stirling Royal Infirmary
Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has chaired an annual review meeting for NHS Forth Valley.

The review looked at issues including waiting times, finance and future plans for the health authority.

Ms Sturgeon also met with staff from cancer services and visited Stirling Royal Infirmary.

The meeting comes after health bosses were strongly criticised for not planning to install sprinklers in a new 300m hospital for the area.

Commenting on the review, Ms Sturgeon said: "The Scottish Government wants to ensure safe, sustainable and high quality services for all and provide good value for money.

"This has been the message we have taken to all NHS boards during the annual review process.

"I also want these reviews to challenge where necessary, scrutinise local performance and drive forward further improvement."
