Fans in rush for extra T tickets
T stage
About 80,000 fans are expected to attend T in the Park
An extra 2,000 T in the Park tickets sold out within two minutes on Friday.

Music fans jammed the phone lines and website from 0900 BST when the tickets went on sale for a final chance to attend this year's festival.

The extra tickets were recouped through multiple booking cancellations and resold tickets.

Geoff Ellis, of promoters DF Concerts, said: "We are really pleased that we have been able to recoup tickets and put them on sale for genuine fans."

He added: "This year's T in the Park looks set to be one of the best yet with 80,000 of the best music fans in the world and one of the best line-ups in the international festival calendar."

George Kyle, of founding partners Tennent's Lager, said the quick sale of the tickets was a testament to the ongoing commitment of fans of the festival, which is being held at Balado Park in Perthshire.

With just four weeks to go until the event, only a handful of artists remain to be announced.

Among those already confirmed are The Killers, Razorlight, Snow Patrol and James Morrison.
