Economy boost brings ads headache
Stirling Council has launched a crackdown on unauthorised advertising.

The authority said the problem had grown as the retail and commercial business sectors had expanded.

Concerns had been raised that fly-posting, placards, advertising boards and trailer-mounted adverts were unsightly and posed safety risks.

Council executive member Tom Coll said: "Effective control and removal of unauthorised advertising will enhance the area and improve road safety."
