The seizure was made in the city centre on Thursday night
Police in Dundee said they have made their biggest ever single seizure of cocaine in a city centre operation.

Drug squad officers from Tayside Police seized a quantity estimated to be worth up to 300,000 on Thursday night.

A total of four people were arrested - two men in their early 30s from Dundee, and a man and woman in their 20s from Liverpool.

The force said the "significant" recovery was clear proof of its determination to tackle dealers.

Det Insp Iain Wales, head of the drugs branch, said: "A recovery of this size sends a clear message throughout Tayside and to other parts of the UK that Tayside Police will use all the powers at its disposal to disrupt the trafficking of drugs in our area."

The seizure came as part of a long-running operation to tackle the problem.

The four people who were arrested are due to appear at the city's sheriff court.
