Warning over river flood dangers
The River Tay
Part of the River Tay is at risk of flooding
Severe flood warnings have been issued for Perthshire and the Highlands following heavy rain.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency said the River Tay upstream of Dunkeld and the River Moriston near Drumnadrochit were at risk.

The part of the Tay affected stretches from Kenmore south and includes Aberfeldy.

Sepa said there are 12 other flood warnings in force across Perthshire and the Highlands.

A spokesman said severe flooding was expected for both areas, affecting many homes and businesses, main roads and large areas of land, adding that there was a serious danger to life and property.
