Ebenezer Scrooge will read A Christmas Carol at the castle |
Preparations are under way at Stirling Castle for a number of events over the festive season. The historic monument is to become a venue for music, theatre and comedy as part of Christmas at the Castle.
The celebrations take place on Sunday 17 December and will include a Father Christmas's grotto and "Ebenezer Scrooge" reading A Christmas Carol.
Historic Scotland, who run the castle, are also serving Christmas lunches from 16-22 December.
Nick Finnigan, events manager at Historic Scotland, said: "We hope visitors will enjoy getting into the festive spirit at Stirling Castle."
