Alcohol haul as patrols increase
Police in Clackmannanshire have stepped up patrols to crack down on disorder during the festive period.

More than 100 litres of alcohol have been seized since the beginning of December, it emerged.

One 14-year-old was detained after brandishing a golf club as a weapon and other teenagers were caught drinking.

Insp Andrew Malcolm said: "Alcohol in the hands of juveniles always causes problems. We have been attempting to reduce underage drinking."

Meanwhile, the Central Scotland force also warned householders that bogus callers posing as police officers were operating in Stirling.

It followed incidents in the city where three elderly couples were targeted at their homes.
