Move to help migrants' children
More than 50,000 is to be spent on a new service to help migrant workers' children in Clackmannanshire.

The local council is to open a centre to provide information on schools and help overcome the language barrier.

The move came as the number of Eastern European people moving to the region has been increasing.

Clackmannanshire Council said some migrant workers' children spoke little or no English, which caused learning issues in schools.

The proposed centre is to be based in one of the local authority's schools.
