'Police abuse driver' not guilty
Ronald Klos
Ronald Klos said he was considering action against Tayside Police
A businessman caught speeding at 156mph has walked from court after being found not guilty of giving abuse to police officers days after his court case.

Ronald Klos, 38, was in January banned for a year and fined 3,000 following the speeding offence in Fife.

The building company director from Kinross was accused of threatening police after his conviction.

But at Perth District Court, he was found not guilty of abusing officers in Kinross on 14 January.

Police evidence 'holes'

Klos told the court he was taunted by one police officer before being arrested, taken to cells and later charged with breaching the peace.

Justice of the Peace Stephen White cleared him after highlighting "discrepancies" in the police evidence given against him.

"Had a policeman wanted to make something up and bring you to task for no reason he might have made a better job of it," Mr White said.

"The police evidence does have a lot of holes in it."

Outside court, Klos of Sandport Gait, said he would take advice on whether to pursue action against Tayside Police.
