Teenager's tag conditions relaxed
A tagged teenager has been allowed to sign in with police five days a week because no-one mans the local police station on a Saturday or Sunday.

Jamie Miller, from Kinross, was told at Perth Sheriff Court he could take two days off from his bail conditions.

On Tuesday, the 16-year-old twice admitted breaching bail by ignoring the terms of his curfew.

Miller, of Balado Crossroads, was also ordered to remain within his home between 1900 and 0700 each night.

Granted bail

Sheriff Robert McCreadie ordered Miller to attend Kinross Police Station on weekday afternoons after learning it was open from Monday to Friday.

The teenager admitted breaching bail on 31 May.

He also admitted being out at 2200 BST on 13 August, when he had been granted bail with a curfew condition on 6 July at Perth Sheriff Court.

Sentence was deferred to a later date.
