Fairtrade on the rise in Dundee
World Fair Trade Day has been marked in Dundee with the recognition of several local businesses for their work towards the cause.

A total of nine retailers and cafes have been awarded Fairtrade status following their commitment to supply fairly traded goods.

These included the Abertay University and Dundee College catering services.

Fairtrade is now benefiting almost five million people and their families around the world in 58 countries.

Dundee now has about 60 businesses which promote Fairtrade goods.
