Melrose
The Scottish Parliament's rural affairs committee met in Melrose

The Scottish Parliament's rural affairs committee has been in the Borders to look at housing issues in the area.

It was meeting in Melrose to discuss how high costs and the lack of affordable homes affect families and communities across the region.

Convener Rosanna Cunningham said the inquiry should produce practical suggestions to help Borders towns.

A range of local organisations addressed the committee to raise the issues facing the area.
