A hearing is to be held by the General Medical Council |
The General Medical Council has said it is to investigate a Dumfriesshire doctor convicted of possessing illegal drugs at a music festival. Dr Fraser Gibb, 41, of Dumfries, has been summoned to appear before a disciplinary hearing later this month. He was convicted at Kirkcudbright Sheriff Court of having 14 ecstasy tablets at the festival in July 2006. He is facing a professional charge of impairment on the grounds of misconduct and conviction. It is alleged he failed to provide police with his full name when questioned. The hearing is scheduled to take place in Manchester from 21 to 25 April.
