Councillors in Dumfries and Galloway are being asked to give financial support to a "wild goose chase". The event is one of a number planned across the region to help encourage environmental visitors to the area.
Viewing sites at Caerlaverock, Loch Ken, Mersehead, Wigtown Bay and Loch Ryan will be involved in the project.
The council's environment services committee is being asked to contribute �10,000 towards the event, which is being planned for March.
Environmental tourism is seen as a key strand of boosting tourist numbers to the area.

Councillors are being asked to consider supporting a number of such initiatives.
A total of �26,500 is being sought to enhance nature tourism in and around the Loch Ken area through the further development of the Galloway Red Kite Trail.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has estimated visitors to the trail generate nearly �800,000 a year for the region.
Funds are also on the cards for a new wildlife viewing hide at Carlingwark Loch, remedial works to Portpatrick coastal path bridge and a replacement footbridge at Barsalloch.
