Large heather blaze extinguished
Firefighters have put out a large heather fire which broke out near to a Peeblesshire farm.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue were called to Kingledores Farm on the A701 near Polmood just before 1300 BST.

A total of seven fire engines as well as specialist appliances put out the blaze which raged up to three-quarters of a mile across.

The fire was extinguished at about 1630 BST after Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue helped firefighters access the site.
