The Jacobites will return to the Borders to fight again |
Jacobite forces and the British Army are to 'clash' again in the Borders - after bad weather put a halt to the revisited conflict last month. The Battle of Culloden is being recreated on Lauder Moor for a short film to be screened at a new 9m visitor attraction near Inverness.
Extreme cold forced the cameras to stop rolling when crews first went to the area in mid-March.
Now the 'soldiers' will return to complete their work on 28 April.
The camera crews went to the Scottish Borders because the Highland battlefield was considered to be a war grave.
The footage will be used to create an "immersion experience" of the famous battle which effectively ended Jacobite hopes of restoring the exiled Stuart dynasty to the throne of Britain.
The new centre at Culloden is set to open later this year.
