Sheltered housing plans all clear
Plans for a 40-unit sheltered housing complex next to Shedden Park in Kelso have been approved by councillors.

Developers McCarthy and Stone got the go-ahead for their project off Dryinghouse Lane despite local concern about possible traffic problems.

Councillors also approved a nine house development by builders M and J Ballantyne on an adjacent site.

Local councillor Alasdair Hutton said he still had some reservations - particularly about the traffic issue.
