Flights take off at weather-hit airport

Inverness Airport is now operating normally after days of disruption due to the freezing weather.

Hundreds of passengers had to alter their travel plans over the new year when airport bosses said conditions were not safe to operate.

Although the airport has reopened travellers are being advised to check with their airline before travelling.

Sub-zero conditions and heavy snow had resulted in a number of flights being cancelled.
