Europe's largest generator of renewable energy has become a partner and lead investor in a project planned for the Pentland Firth. Stakraft, a state-owned company based in Norway, has become involved in the bid to build a computer data centre supplied by tidal energy. Atlantis Resources Corporation is leading the project that could come on stream by 2012. The plan is to build a data centre near Castle of Mey in Caithness. Statkraft joins Morgan Stanley as a shareholder in Atlantis.
