Fifth day of search for Uist man

Simon MacMillan was last seen stepping off a bus

A search is continuing for a fifth day for a 21-year-old man from South Uist on the Western Isles.

Simon MacMillan remains missing despite extensive efforts by Northern Constabulary, coastguards and members of the public.

On Tuesday, up to 200 people joined the search for him.

Mr MacMillan was last seen in the early hours of Boxing Day after stepping off a minibus just a few miles from his home near Ardmore.
