City's fourth Tesco shop approved

Plans for a fourth Tesco store in Inverness have been approved by city councillors despite significant local opposition.

The store will be built on a site close to Dores Road on the south-west side of the city.

The development will include four smaller shop units, a fuel station and community facitlites.

A previous application for the same site was the subject of a public inquiry last year.
