Ski centre achieves winter target

A father and son have taken a Highlands ski resort to its target of 51,000 skiers over the winter season.

The visit to CairnGorm Mountain by Jim Stewart and eight-year-old Callum, from Arbroath, made it one of the best years for the centre.

CairnGorm Mountain chief executive Bob Kinnaird said snow conditions for the season had been of a high quality.

He added: "We are becoming increasingly optimistic that we could be offering skiing on Cairngorm into May."
