Tornado squadrons going to Iraq

The Tornado GR4 is the RAF's main ground attack aircraft
Three Tornado squadrons from RAF Lossiemouth are to deploy to Iraq over the summer, it has been announced.

The RAF said each of the squadrons will take its turn spending two months on duty.

The main duties for the Tornados will be to patrol the skies over Iraq, and to help the ground forces with missions.

The operation will see 14 Squadron, followed by 12 (Bomber) Squadron then 617 Squadron deployed.
