An �8m development which would include a hotel, restaurant and upmarket shops has been proposed for a site next to the A9 south of Inverness. Perthshire-based Braemore Estates said it would boost the local economy and create 70 jobs.
The site at Tomatin, 14 miles from Inverness, was formerly home to a Little Chef restaurant and a hotel.
It would be the first major development on the section of A9 since the 1990s and Braemore hopes to open in 2009.
