An elderly man has suffered a serious facial injury in a three-vehicle accident on the A9 at the Slochd, south of Inverness. Northern Constabulary said the incident involving two cars and a lorry happened at about 1330 BST.
His condition was not thought to be life threatening.
Police said he was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment. No-one else was believed to have been injured in the crash.
