One of the BBC's castaways has warned he will be "ruffling feathers" among the 12 other people taking part in the reality show. The programme returns after a break of seven years and is being shot on Great Barrier Island in New Zealand.
Jonathan Shearer, from Benbecula, in the Western Isles, said he had a dislike for the "touchy-feely idiots" he suspected would be involved.
The programme will begin on Friday at 2100 GMT on BBC One.

Speaking before the show's opener, the 41-year-old said: "I have a strong dislike for the kind of deeply earnest, green, touchy-feely idiots whom I suspect you are going to populate your island with.
"They need me there to teach them how to live properly."
Mr Shearer said he spent many years living and working abroad in countries such as Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam and Nigeria.
He has described himself as a walks and education officer for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and cleans hotel rooms to support his interest in bird watching.
