Storms disrupt shellfish industry
Winter storms have led to jobs losses in the fishing industry in the Western Isles.

Few shellfish have been landed during three months of severe weather, meaning that processors trying to retain their skilled staff are losing money.

Young's Bluecrest has laid off 10 workers in Stornoway and put the remaining 60 on a two-day week.

Hebridean Seafare has said that its operations are under review as a result of the difficult conditions.
