Wester Ross is one of the potential sites for the park |
Views on the location of Scotland's first coastal and marine national park are being sought in Inverness. The Scottish Executive's roadshow truck will be in the city's Falcon Square from 0900 BST to 1700 BST.
Potential sites in the Highlands and Islands include the north Skye coast and Wester Ross.
The second is North Uist, the Sound of Harris, Harris and South Lewis, while the third option is Ardnamurchan, the Small Isles and the south Skye coast.
In April, Environment Minister Ross Finnie admitted he was partly to blame for "confusion" surrounding plans for Scotland's first marine national park.
Management group
Western Isles Labour MSP Alasdair Morrison had demanded his constituency should not be covered by the park.
He said it would be "lunacy" to introduce such a park as Scotland's first ever local management group for fisheries was launched.
But Mr Finnie said the park would not "necessarily interfere" with the group.
The minister said the coastal and marine national parks had not inhibited the work of any farmers.
