Probe into river poison incident
Police have launched an investigation into a possible poisoning incident at a river in the Highlands.

Workers at the Conon Salmon Fisheries Board raised the alarm after finding a large number of dead salmon and trout in the Alness River on Monday morning.

The dead fish were found near Inchlumpie, Ardross.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) and officers from Northern Constabulary have launched an investigation.
