Turf cut for new Dingwall school
Construction work has begun on a new school for Dingwall in Ross-shire.

The academy is one of 11 new community schools being built across the Highlands in a �134m education public private partnership scheme.

Highland Council convener Alison Magee cut the first turfs for the �21m building, which is being built next to the one it will replace, on Thursday.

She was joined by Dingwall pupils Megan Haslam, Eoin Martin, Graeme Miller and Elspeth Harrison.
