Firemen hurt in garage collapse
Two firefighters were injured when part of a brick-built garage collapsed on them as they tackled a blaze during windy conditions.

One suffered two broken legs and the other a fracture to one of his legs during the incident in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, at 0425 GMT on Friday.

Both men were taken to hospital, a spokesman for the Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service said.

He added that strong winds had contributed to the building collapse.

The cause of the fire at the garage of the residential property is under investigation.
