Journalists at a leading Scottish newspaper group have launched strike action for the second time in a dispute over job cuts. The National Union of Journalists said that about 180 staff at The Herald in Glasgow began a 24-hour strike earlier.
Paul Holleran of NUJ Scotland, said the dispute was designed to combat enforced compulsory redundancies.
Tim Blott, of Newsquest Herald and Times, said he was "disappointed" that another strike was taking place.
Mr Holleran said further strikes would take place until the management withdrew plans for compulsory redundancies.
Mr Blott said: "We will be publishing The Herald as normal."
