 Residents in Paisley will pay 1.9% more council tax next year |
Renfrewshire Council has announced a 1.9% increase in its council tax for the coming year. The increase will see a rise of 42p a week for those residents in band D, who will pay �1,165 a year.
Councillor John Kenny, finance spokesman, said: "We have done everything possible to reduce costs and introduce efficiency savings."
The local authority is spending �100,000 to target those who can pay their council tax bills but do not.
