Livery wrapping First for trains

This train will be among those wrapped in advertising
The entire exterior of some trains in Scotland will, for the first time, be branded with advertising.

First ScotRail trains will become giant mobile billboards wrapped in the livery of an advertiser under a deal signed with Viacom Outdoor.

All three carriages of trains on the Glasgow to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness routes will be branded.

A spokesman for Viacom said wrapping trains was an "exciting proposition" for advertisers.

Ross Barrett, impact account manager, said: "These wraps will deliver enormous brand exposure and offer advertisers a fantastic creative canvas to reach consumers on the move in key conurbations across Scotland."

Peter Williams, First ScotRail's commercial director, said: "There is a demand for businesses to find new and effective ways to reach their target audiences.

"These trains are perfectly suited, providing an ideal opportunity to expose brand advertising messages."
