Motorway compensation bill rises
Map of the proposed M74 extension
The M74 extension will stretch five miles across south east Glasgow
The relocation bill for businesses on the route of the new M74 extension is expected to rise to 180m.

Transport Scotland has already paid 145m in compensation to firms along the proposed motorway and they expected to spend a further 35m.

The agency said the payments were still within their original range.

The massive road project was backed by the Scottish Executive despite being rejected by a planning reporter after a public inquiry.
