Javed Mukhtar will return home to Glasgow from Manchester
Three more men have been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction of a businessman from his home.

Grandfather Javed Mukhtar, 58, was eventually found by police in Manchester on 24 October, three weeks after his disappearance.

The hunt began after the shopkeeper went missing from his house in Pollokshaws, Glasgow, on 29 September.

The latest series of arrests brings the total number of people arrested in the case to 13.

The three suspects were apprehended following a joint operation between Strathclyde Police and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

The men, aged 65, 48 and 34, were arrested in Northern Ireland and are in police custody in connection with the alleged abduction.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Six men appeared at the same court on 25 October, three men on 30 October and a 52-year-old man appeared on Wednesday in connection with the incident.

All 10 have been remanded in custody.
