 Apple is set to open its eigth store in the UK |
The firm behind the iPod and the iMac has applied to open its first Scottish store in Glasgow. Apple has lodged a planning application to open a store at 147 Buchanan Street, a grade A building.
If given the go-ahead by Glasgow City Council, work could start on the �1m store in the spring of 2007 and could be completed by mid-summer.
The local authority received the planning application in mid-October. Apple has seven stores in the UK
The site of their proposed Glasgow store is currently occupied by home-furnishing retailer The Pier.
