Friends and family of a Polish student whose body was found in a Glasgow chapel have paid their last respects at a memorial service. The remains of Angelika Kluk, 23, were discovered by police at St Patrick's RC Church last month.
She had been living at the place of worship in Anderston while working to help fund her studies in Gdansk.
Peter Tobin, 60, who was an odd job man at St Patrick's, was charged last week with her murder.
The memorial service was held at St Peter's Church, in the west end of Glasgow on Wednesday 18 October.
Her older sister Aneta, 28, who made an emotional appeal for information, attended the ceremony.
Enthusiasm for life
She said she wanted Angelika to be remembered for her enthusiasm for life and not for the way she died.
Canon Robert Hill, Monsignor James Ryan and Rev Dr Angus Kerr, of Glasgow Churches Together, presided over the ecumenical service.
There were two hymns from Irish composer Liam Lawton, On the Journey and Journey of a Soul, to reflect Ms Kluk's love of all things Celtic.
A member of Strathclyde Police Pipe Band also played a lament.
The student's friends gave tributes to her and readings from the gospel were heard in English and Polish.
