Plaques bearing the names of about 9,000 people who made a donation to the Kelvingrove refurbishment appeal is to be officially unveiled. The names of the 8,923 donors - or those of deceased loved ones - have been permanently inscribed on donor and in-memoriam boards.
They are on display in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum's main hall.
The appeal raised almost �13m of the �28m needed to refurbish Kelvingrove which reopened on 11 July.
A spokeswoman for Glasgow City Council said: "The Kelvingrove refurbishment appeal has received innumerable tales of touching accounts from people who courted, worked or simply enjoyed visiting Kelvingrove in the past."
Glasgow Lord Provost Liz Cameron and Lord Macfarlane, chairman of the appeal, will unveil the plaques.
