The operation involved drug enforcement and police officers |
Eight people are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday after a series of dawn raids as part of an international drugs investigation. The Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) swooped on 14 addresses in west Scotland and one in Amsterdam.
The raids were part of an operation that has already seen nine convictions for drug dealing and money laundering.
Operation Folklore has also led to the seizure of drugs with a street value of 61m.
Drugs, cash, vehicles and documents were seized in the latest operation.

Police questioned 11 people for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and other offences.
A spokesman for the SCDEA said later that six men and two women had been arrested.
The three others, including a 63-year-old woman, were released without charge.
'Robust' response
The raids, which had been planned for several months, took place at addresses in the Castlemilk and Cathcart areas of Glasgow and East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire.
A flat on Fishescoates Gardens in Burnside, South Lanarkshire, was also raided during the operation and it is thought a 41-year-old man was arrested.
It is understood no-one was detained in the Amsterdam swoop, although police did recover some items.
Det Ch Supt Stephen Ward, SCDEA crime coordinator, said: "Organised crime is led by ruthless and dangerous individuals who seek to make profit from the pain and suffering of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
"The public rightly expect our response to this to be co-ordinated and robust."
Operation Folklore has already resulted in jail sentences totalling more than 40 years after trials in Glasgow and Madrid earlier this year.
