World featherweight boxing champion Scott Harrison has been arrested after an incident at a nightclub on Sunday. Mr Harrison, from Cambuslang, was questioned by police called to the club in Balloch, Dunbartonshire.
A police spokesman said: "At around 0145 on Sunday, a 28-year-old man was arrested and will be subject to a report to the procurator fiscal."
Mr Harrison is due to defend his World Boxing Organisation title against Gairy St Clair in Belfast on Saturday.
Harrison's manager Frank Maloney insisted the bout would go ahead.
He said: "As far as I know, Scott has not been charged but is helping police with their inquiries.
"I spoke to Scott and his father, Peter, yesterday and they said he was training over the weekend and will be out running this morning.
"So at this point the fight is still on."
Last month, Mr Harrison was bailed on charges of breach of the peace, refusing to leave a licensed premises, resisting arrest and police assault.
He faces trial in September.
