Susan Boyle cancelled two shows before returning to the stage

Susan Boyle has received another standing ovation at her latest concert, but her publicist said she would need more rest breaks in future.

She performed in Edinburgh, close to her West Lothian home, on the latest leg of the Britain's Got Talent tour.

A spokesperson for the singer said it went "really well" but that Ms Boyle would need "sporadic" rest days.

Boyle cancelled two performances in Manchester on Sunday, but rejoined the tour in Glasgow the following day.

The singer was treated for exhaustion at The Priory in London after coming runner up on the ITV1 show.

She performed at the Edinburgh Playhouse, the fifth in the 20-venue Britain's Got Talent live tour which features the other nine finalists and last year's winner George Sampson.

Here next scheduled appearance is in Newcastle.

Ms Philips said: "She will be having sporadic rest days throughout the tour."
