Paul Foot was a finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in the USA |
A comedian is to attempt a world record by performing the most stand-up gigs in 24 hours in Edinburgh. Paul Foot is planning to do at least 20 shows on Wednesday at accredited venues listed in the Fringe Festival programme. A finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in the USA, Mr Foot, will perform each gig in a different show. There must be a different audience each time and each performance must be no shorter than five minutes. The attempt will start at 1215 BST on 20 August at Venue 353 - Laughing Horse @ The Argyle and is scheduled to end about 0230 BST on 21 August at Venue 264 - Laughing Horse @ Meadow Bar. Paul Foot is a Winner of The BBC New Comedy Award and Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award.
