A pensioner died after he crashed a car into a house in West Lothian, emergency services said. John Smith, 65, from Islay Way, Coatbridge, drove the white Ford Escort into the home in Torbane Drive, East Whitburn, on Sunday.
It is thought he may have become ill at the wheel at about 1335 GMT.
Mr Smith got out of the car and then collapsed. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokeswoman said the occupants of the damaged house were unhurt but shocked by the incident.
She said: "We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision on Sunday at 1330 GMT in Torbane Drive, to contact police."
