The funeral of legendary rugby commentator Bill McLaren has been held in his home town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.
The funeral was held at the town's Teviot Church
The service was relayed outside to the crowds that lined the streets
Scottish rugby heroes Gavin Hastings and John Jeffrey were among the figures from the rugby world who attended.
Scotland national coach Andy Robinson paid his own tribute to the man known as the voice of rugby.
Members of Hawick Rugby Club acted as pallbearers after the service.
Bette McLaren watched as her husband's coffin was carried from the church.
Mrs McLaren was described as the love of Bill's life during their 62 years together.
A touching floral tribute was left by Mrs McLaren to her husband.
